Zsani in Brighton Part One

Going back to old stomping grounds is always an interesting project and having the right person is the key. Spending a whole day shooting on location with one person means choosing the right one. Zsani is perfect, because we talk about so many things. So first stop in Brighton was Devil's Dyke. The sky was full of Para Gliders, so we explored elsewhere to start with. It was empty of people just seconds away from the Car Park. The sun was not too bright and therefore perfect for people photography.

Elesha: Back in Nafplio

Top of the priority list during Elesha's very short stay in Tolo was to visit Nafplio. I don't think we really explored the beauty of the back streets of the Old Town with the little narrow Venetian streets and the passageways creeping up the steep slopes leading to the Palamedes. What you can photograph in about an hour is really quite surprising in nearly 40C, so rushing is not an option. My usual wander and stop shooting style was just the ticket looking for interesting backdrops and views. Evening is the best time when the sun is not above us. After shooting it was down to the harbour to watch sunset with a cool drink. Then a meal in a backstreet Taverna.

Elle in Littlehampton

The day was incredibly hot. Having arrived early the café was closed and so was the nearby snack van, crazy. Elle arrived and we had a brief chat and got on with our shoot. The first part, as arranged was dance orientated. Despite the café being closed it did make a great backdrop. Even though it was early evening the light was very strong and direct which makes for tricky exposure with the camera. We moved on to the amphitheatre for some drama and a few jump shots. Elle being a dancer knew exactly what to do. What I like about dance shots outside is the lack of restriction with regard to space. It was then to the beach and try to avoid the crowds still there. We managed well with some atmospheric shots with which I created interesting Black and White images.
