Ally in Brighton
With a very wet winter and spring it has been hard to organise location shoots. Now with the warm weather I was determined to make the best of it. I had a few false starts but organising with Ally was very straightforward. Off we went to Brighton on a glorious day. Brighton is always full of changes and interest. We started at the beach in Kemptown. The place has changed over the years and it is now more upmarket and more for the locals than the commercial Palace Pier section.
Ally got straight back into things and we got some great shots on the beach and also on Banjo Groyne. Ally is very easy to work with and we caught up on what we had been doing. We moved on to the classic steps up to Marine Parade with some rather angular shots.
No visit to Brighton would be complete without calling in to see Abi (the Singer) Flynn followed by lunch at Breakfast at Tiffanys. It was then time to get absorbed by the graffiti of the North Lanes. Rather exhausted by the heat we travelled back happy we had got successful images.

Red for Ellie
Poppy fields don't happen very often and are usually found in late June. Having found a field in July it was a race against time to find a model. The poppies were going to disappear very fast with the hot weather and abundance of insects around. Ellie was very keen as she has a passion for red. On arriving my fears were realised as 75% of the poppies had gone. We got on with what was left and really worked hard even though the temperature was very hot. Change of outfits and mood worked really well. Ellie and I work together as a great team; so everything flowed.
We had a bit of a surprise at the end of the shoot finding a safe which had been stolen and broken open which according to receipts scattered around it had come from Pizza Express in Haslemere. Police were informed but were not prompt in attending so we left it.
