Red for Ellie
Poppy fields don't happen very often and are usually found in late June. Having found a field in July it was a race against time to find a model. The poppies were going to disappear very fast with the hot weather and abundance of insects around. Ellie was very keen as she has a passion for red. On arriving my fears were realised as 75% of the poppies had gone. We got on with what was left and really worked hard even though the temperature was very hot. Change of outfits and mood worked really well. Ellie and I work together as a great team; so everything flowed.
We had a bit of a surprise at the end of the shoot finding a safe which had been stolen and broken open which according to receipts scattered around it had come from Pizza Express in Haslemere. Police were informed but were not prompt in attending so we left it.

Ellie in the Great Outdoors
Weather looked like it would be kind and the so energetic and effervescent personality of Ellie came over in the lovely location of Winterfold. Trees, leaves and light all added to a varied location shoot. It was also time for Ellie and I to get to know each other. The conditions were not perfect and not being perturbed or put off Ellie came flying though. Styling was Ellie's combined with coat and jacket courtesy of "Labels of Cranleigh".

Ellie and Elegance
I always look forward to working with new people and Ellie was no exception. On meeting her it was like talking to someone I had known for some time. The conversation was easy as we walked to Labels of Cranleigh to choose some dresses. As usual they we fantastic in the shop loading us with lovely dresses to borrow. Our first port of call was location but more of that later.
Working in studio is so much easier when there is a relaxed nature to shoot. Pizza and cups of tea ensued in-between and a great shoot took place! Ellie responded well to direction and her creative side produced some great ideas. We had a Make-up Artist called Tori who also worked with Ellie's hair. I love unhurried shoots and before we knew it the time was approaching 11.00pm. Some 12 hours after we first started. Results speak for themselves. Lovely day.... Roll on next shoot!
