Rai-Anne in Reality

I had a theme for a competition and was struggling with ideas, Communication is a difficult theme but in cycling along the old railway line left after the Beeching Act I passed an old typewriter just sitting there full of rust. Rai-Anne answered a casting and we sorted a day, The typewriter was harder to make stand out than I thought and Rai-Anne was very patient and listened to my directions.
It would have been a shame to leave things there so we walked on to where I had seen some bluebells. The colours were rich and vibrant. There were fallen trees which provided more scope and Rai-Anne bravely climbed to get some more dynamic images. A successful location shoot on the doorstep to my home.

Marlyn and the Derelict Miscellany

I had been planning a shoot at the old Brickworks since the spring and plans had fallen through each time. So a date for the shoot was set with the very talented Marlyn Woodend. We were both very excited as this would be our first location shoot together. As usual Marlyn's hair was very different. The location lends itself to so much and has the scope for further shoots. Marlyn is one of those models who has instinctive creativity which I love. The mess, the dereliction, the graffiti all added to the atmosphere making some great images.

Monika The Woodland Wander

In between the studio shoots the glorious late October weather lured us outside to Ashen Copse. Monika is obviously an outdoor person and revelled in the warm sunshine and lovely trees. It is always a sense of enthusiasm that grabs me for location shoots and Monika loved the natural surroundings of this ancient woodland. At no time did it feel like we would run short of ideas as we wandered and stopped. Results speak for themselves.
