Mykonos
Last port of call on Virgin Cruise's Resilient Lady was Mykonos. We had much more time off ship because we had an overnight stop. Much more time to spend with Elesha and explore. Mykonos Town has a labyrinth of narrow streets and passageways which were established during the time of Alexander the Great. Our wanderings led us to a host of lovely backdrops for our photography. We didn't rush and found a Grill House for lunch and a beautiful bar to relax in before tackling the famous windmills. It was from there we took a bus to a beach. Mykonos beaches can be crowded and full of very expensive beach bars. Unbelievably the beach was deserted. The trendsetters had gone home early, leaving us with the glowing evening sun. It was then back to the ship for a meal and a show, before returning to the island for a late night.
