Lina and Louisa: Sunshine and Serenity

The Village of Tolo on the Peloponnese in Greece is a place I have visited for many years. There is something which draws me in; me and so many others. And so I have friends there who have the same fondness for this fishing village. One of these people is Lina. We talked about having a follow-up shoot to the one two years ago in Nafplion. Lina introduced me to her new friend Louisa whose family live in Tolo during the summer. We talked over a number of ideas and with the temperature in the high 30s we were a bit ambitious and ended up shooting at sunrise down on the beach. It was quite surprising how many people were around at that time of day but we went ahead and just enjoyed the atmosphere of sunrise in the water.
Our second location was a church high up in the hills above the village. Luckily Louisa was driving a Range Rover which was really needed to cope with the terrain. The church with it's blue roof, doors and windows was great but the heat was starting to get oppressive with totally no breeze. The view of Tolo and the bay is one vista that should be on everyone's to-do list. Totally needing breakfast we headed back to the beach and the Babaressa to catch up and view results. It is not very often a photographer goes on holiday and shoots with two girls with such lovely souls. Just enjoy........

Nafplion with Lina

Nafplion is a beautiful place and a real gem of Greece. Vibrant and cosmopolitan and steeped in history. In August it is far too hot during the day and short shadows would make photography rather uninspiring. Having known Lina a few years we planned to venture into Nafplion one evening. We had a lift from Tolo to from old friend Rick. Lina had not done any modelling before so we took our time. Up steep steps round narrow streets and on round the undercliff promenade.
Tired we adjourned to Taverna to Byzantine for a great meal in the narrow Venetian  designed street. We then visited our friend Christian in The Frog bar for a few drinks. Lina was wonderful both as a model and as a person. The beautiful images are some of the most talked about this year.
